Mayacoo Golf Course

This is an 18 hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus and Desmond Muirhead, that opened in December 1972. A par 71 6,906 yard layout is surrounded by a forest of slash pines, palms and lush vegetation indigenous to South Florida. The beauty of the course stands in its own splendor. Carpet like fairways and manicured greens provide the gateway to some of the most memorable and challenging holes of golf you will find anywhere.

Binks Forest Golf Club

 

Golf Inc. recently announced Binks Forest Golf Club in Wellington, Fla., as a finalist in the magazine’s fifth annual Renovation of the Year competition. The South Florida championship golf course was one of just five finalists in the daily fee division of the national renovation contest.
Originally designed by PGA TOUR professional Johnny Miller and Gene Bates of Bates Golf Design Group, Binks Forest opened in 1990 and quickly gained prominence in the golf industry, including a ranking among Golf Digest’s “Top 75 Public Golf Courses in the United States.’ Hailed as unique among its Florida counterparts with rich foliage, pine tree-lined fairways, heavily forested terrain and lush Bermuda grass reminiscent of North Carolina’s Pinehurst, the venue quickly proved itself tournament-ready by hosting the the 1990 PGA TOUR Team Championship.

Born and raised in New York, Chef Michael Wurster has become a staple in modern innovative cuisine in New York over the last 10 years and continues to push the boundaries in fine dining kitchens. Michael has achieved many critical accolades in print and online for his unique and inspired cuisine, appeared on CBS Morning and was named “A Chef I will be watching closely” by Esquires John Mariani.

While reinventing his cuisine Michael has become a staunch advocate toward responsible cooking and sustainable foods through modern technique. Chef Wurster feels a personal responsibility to pass on ingredients to the next generation of chefs while continuing to pursue new and innovative technique to bring sustainable food to all of his creations and those that he mentors along the way.
